For its centenary, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow embarked on a transformative journey to revitalise and expand the museum complex. With the new footprint of 100,000 sqm across over 20 buildings, the institution confirms its commitment of accommodating a growing audience. By increasing display capacity from 8 to 15% of the collection and tripling the number of exhibitions, the Pushkin Museum is poised to become a cultural epicentre.
Avesta Group spearheaded the development of the new museum complex through a strategy envisioning the Pushkin as a dynamic museum town. Avesta Group worked on the new vision for the museum, prepared the architectural brief and worked on the revision of all operational aspects impacted by the new institution’s vision.
