GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM

The Grand Egyptian Museum has opened as the largest archaeological museum complex in the world, covering an area of approximately 490,000 square meters. It aims to provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of ancient Egyptian history and culture. The museum’s collection includes over 100,000 artifacts, many of which have never before been displayed to the public. Among its highlights are the treasures of King Tutankhamun, including his famous golden mask, chariots, and other artifacts from his tomb in the Valley of the Kings.

Avesta Group was responsible for developing the financial strategy for the museum, encompassing both short-term and long-term approaches. This involved creating an extensive business plan and developing a comprehensive governance and operational model. In addition, our expert consultants crafted comprehensive financial strategies, focusing on fundraising, sponsorships, partnerships, and memberships. Furthermore, we developed the initial programme of temporary exhibitions and curated the general cultural strategy of the museum.
