NAPOLEON FOUNDATION

The Fondation Napoléon in Paris is a public utility institution created in 1987 from the legacy of Martial Lapeyre (1904–1984), a industrialist, knowledgeable collector and member of the Association of Napoleonic Remembrance whose estate contributed to the foundation’s creation. Housed in a 500 sqm space designed by architect Jean-François Bodin, the Foundation received its patron’s prestigious collections and pursues a mission of broad public service: enriching a specialist library, supporting doctoral students through scholarships, rewarding historians with annual history prizes, and publishing a magazine alongside innovative works and authentic re-editions. It stands as one of the leading centres of reference for the study and promotion of Napoleonic history.

Avesta Group was engaged to deliver the new premises on a turnkey design-build basis, providing project estimating and budgeting, project management, and site coordination to bring this historically significant institution to completion.
