Lactopôle – the Dairy City, located in the town of Laval, is a museum dedicated to the history of milk production in France through the Besnier family and the company they founded in 1933, Lactalis. On the group’s original site, visitors can discover dairy traditions through the more than 2,500 objects presented there – both unique and little-known – tracing the history of the industry, its importance in our heritage and the incredible industrial adventure of this family business spanning three generations.
Avesta Group oversaw the design and management of this project, helping to restore this industrial site that symbolises the history of one of the French industry flagships.
