The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is a cultural hub pivotal to the revitalisation of Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. Located in the iconic Grain Silo building and designed by Heatherwick Studio, it is globally renowned as the premier museum exclusively dedicated to African contemporary art, with 6,000 sqm of exhibition space.
Avesta Group elaborated the facility brief and reviewed the design throughout project development. Our involvement extends to a five-year post-opening plan, including collection strategy, partnerships strategy, governance roadmap, code of ethics, etc., all ensuring the Zeitz MOCAA’s long-term sustainability, compliance with international standards, and mission fulfilment.
