NATIONAL CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY ART

The NCCA is a unique network of Contemporary Art Centres in Russia initiated by the Russian Ministry of Culture. The first Russian state-run institution for contemporary art, it was established in Moscow in 1994.

Avesta Group was tasked with setting up an innovative cultural centre dedicated to Russian contemporary art. The scope of our activities on this project was quite extensive – from creating the masterplan to the participation in the Technical Committee of the architectural competition. Among other things, we formulated a new strategy for the NCCA branches and developed their business models.
