Saudi Arabia, comprised of many diverse provinces that each boast unique culture and heritage, is implementing cultural policies under Vision 2030 aimed at enhancing the visibility and knowledge of these distinct identities.
This includes initiatives focused on the creation, renovation, and development of museums and heritage sites across the country. Their ongoing development plays a pivotal role in preserving and promoting Saudi Arabia’s national heritage.
Avesta Group was commissioned by the Saudi Ministry of Culture to develop the visual identity and the branding of thirteen regional museums, Sabya Museum, and three historical landmarks: Al Zaher Palace, Shobra Palace, and Al Masmak Fort. Avesta Group aided in defining the brand personality, reflecting the heritage, history, and vernacular architecture unique to each museum. In doing so, Avesta Group produced comprehensive brand books outlining guidelines for the utilisation and implementation of a new visual identity across museum signage and communication materials. Additionally, Avesta Group assisted in revitalising the existing signage and wayfinding strategy for the three palaces.
