The Heydar Aliyev Centre is not only Azerbaijan’s first cultural centre; it is the largest of its kind in the Caucasus. This world-class centre plays a pivotal role in showcasing Azerbaijani culture to the world and contributing to the redevelopment of Baku.
Designed by the acclaimed architect Zaha Hadid, this iconic building is a monumental facility spanning 50,000 square metres. It offers a well-balanced mix of cultural amenities, including permanent collections, temporary exhibition spaces, a knowledge centre, a multipurpose hall, a performing arts centre, and spaces for social interaction.
Avesta Group’s contributions to this project included ongoing architectural design reviews and the development of a comprehensive strategic plan covering the first five years of operation.
