Royal Commission for AlUla holds extensive collections, including numerous artifacts, several archaeological collections and archives across several facilities in AlUla.
Avesta Group was tasked with examining these facilities and related storage security documents to develop a security strategy for RCU’s collection storage. This involved reviewing existing documents and conducting in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, such as collection managers, conservators, security personnel, and facility managers. Avesta analysed activities related to collections, focusing on access, movement, and storage processes. The final report highlighted strengths and weaknesses in current security measures and proposed additional protective measures, including equipment upgrades and potential suppliers.
