The National Museum of Sports is the first of its kind in France, showcasing the history of performance and popular enthusiasm in light of the innovations that made it all possible. Located in a 3,300 sqm space designed by Wilmotte & Associates within Nice’s Allianz Arena, it holds a collection of more than 100,000 items testifying to professional and leisurely sport activities from the 16th century onwards.
Avesta Group was commissioned to create a unique concept for the Museum and accompany architectural development. We also offered a curatorial and interpretive plan and collections management strategy, including content and visitor experience.
