AL BAHA REGIONAL MUSEUM

Al Baha region is often called ‘The Garden of Makkah’ due to its proximity with the holy city, its abundant resources, and its lush natural sites. In alignment with the National Transformation Programme 2030, which aims to establish 13 regional museums across Saudi Arabia, the Al Baha Regional Museum aims to safeguard the area’s rich history and heritage while igniting regional tourism and fostering economic growth. Its permanent exhibition portrays the richness of the region, accentuating its diverse natural splendour, its history influenced by numerous civilisations, and its famed traditional agriculture.

Avesta Group took care of various aspects of this project, including exhibition planning, interpretive planning, content development, as well as the collection’s strategy, the formulation of operational, financial plans, and the overarching functional masterplan for the site.
