Born out of an intergovernmental agreement signed between France and the United Arab Emirates, the Louvre Abu Dhabi is the first universal museum in the Arab world. The Louvre Abu Dhabi’s unique exhibitions explore the connections between civilisations and cultures that may initially seem far apart in time and geography.
Avesta Group played a decisive role in programming and assisting the contracting authority in the development of the major institution on Saadiyat Island. We produced the Master Plan and Facility Programme of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel. Additionally, Avesta Group developed a Governance Structure for all Saadiyat cultural institutions.
