Fadhl Al Eryani has a BA in Social Research & Public Policy.

Member of the NYU Abu Dhabi Heritage Working Group, and assistant coordinator of Dhakira Center for Heritage Studies in the UAE.

Over the years, he has been working with public and private clients in the Gulf conducting scientific research and ethnographic field work, conducting ethnographic interviews and focusing on oral history collection.

Fadhl’s field experience includes Delma Island, Al Ain, and Abu Dhabi in the UAE as well as extensive experience in Socotra Island and Dhofar in Yemen/Oman.

In the past, Fadhl co-founded the Foundation for Endangered Wildlife in Yemen establishing it as Yemen’s most active wildlife conservation NGO.

He has some teaching experience working as a researcher and teacher assistant at NYU Abu Dhabi.

Fadhl organized a number of conferences related to heritage, including a two days heritage workshop “Dialogues with the past: Documenting Heritage in the UAE”, and “National Museums: Peace Brokers or Peace Breakers?”  He boasts an extensive network of academics and professionals working in the region working in the fields of anthropology, history, heritage, and wildlife conservation.
